Following graduation, Ben Derico (FDM, 2011), worked as an Associate Producer at Leo Burnett, one of the world’s largest advertising agencies, where he worked with artists and other creative professionals to execute a wide array of advertisements involving everything from animation and print design, to full-swing film and photography shoots in English and Spanish.
In 2013, Ben left LB to start his own business as freelance media producer and contract videographer in Chicago. As an independent producer his clients have included: Pangea Educational Development (see video below), Toma Cafe, Bikes for Books and musician Darrick Thompson. In his spare time, Ben has also served as the resident videographer for Creative Mornings, a monthly, free breakfast lecture series, organized by Knoed Creative.
