Loyola Students Win 2015 BEA Festival Awards

Out of 1,352 entries, two students from Loyola’s Film and Digital Media program won 3rd awards in the 2015 BEA Festival. Three more Loyola students received honorable mentions for their work.

Music Video: 3rd Place: Kevin Kelly, When I Get Home

Script-Television Spec: 3rd Place: Lauren McGuigan, You Snooze, You Lose

Narrative Film- Honorable Mentions:

Alexander Lakin, November

Joseph “Joey” Filer, Steven Abriani, Johnathan Gino Delmonte, & Hank Stillwell, Wacker

Short Form Film Documentary: Honorary Mention: Matthew J. Grcic, Discovering the truth with Tanner DeMita

Other Loyola wins include :

Graduate student Leopold Stübner SJ, who won 1st place in the Interactive Multimedia Category with his project, What the Yak !? – Exploring the Ethics of Anonymity.

And Professor John Goheen who won both the Best of Competition in Television News Reporting for his work “Hawaiian Chickens” and the Best of Festival in Video with his work “Poverty to Prosperity.”
